Winter 2010

These are just some images I captured during our "Alabama style blizzard" recently. They were taken in Prattville and Pine Level close to where we live. My husband was incredibly tolerant of my desire to go out and photograph the snowy scenery...I half expected him to get irritated but NO! It was as if he understood that photography has become second nature to me and that it would come close to causing a physical pain in my chest if I wasn't able to capture images of an event as rare as this! lol So a special thank you to my wonderful husband who watched the kiddos while I drove around in the snow like a crazy person!

Rutland Twins

Meet Daniel and Dalton! I went to school with their mom, Reagan, and was SO excited when she contacted me about doing their one year session! The lollipops are a family tradition and I thought it was an adorable idea! They were so fun to be around and I truly hope to have another opportunity to work with them again soon!

Baby Austin 9 Month Session

This was my 3rd session with baby Austin and as always, he was aboslutely adorable!!! His mom and sister are so much fun during our sessions and I can't wait for his one year when we will get to incorporate pictures of his sister, Taylor, for her birthday as well. Thank you again, Loretta, for opening your beautiful home to me for our session! You guys are just awesome!

Blake, Rachel, and THE RING!

Right before Christmas, I had a "pre-proposal" session with Blake and Rachel that was meant to showcase their growing love for each other. Without Rachel's knowledge, Blake had arranged to propose to her on Christmas morning in her parents home in Katy, TX. Once the engagement was made official and Blake had placed the exquisite ring on Rachel's finger, we scheduled another shoot to showcase it's beauty (which of course, pales in comparison to the woman wearing it!) We had SO much fun, as always, during this session and I truly feel as though these two are meant for each other. I am so honored that they have chosen to have me photograph their wedding in her home town this November. Stay tuned for images from her upcoming Bridal Session this summer! She is going to be a simply gorgeous bride!!!

Baby Hannah Rhyan

This family has stolen my heart! They are so lovely and an absolute JOY to work with. They heard about me through their neighbor who is friends with Lynn, Baby Tripp's mom. Like most of my new clients, they were referred through word of mouth. They actually live in my neighborhood just around the corner from us which made the session very convenient for them. Baby Hannah was around 3 weeks old at the time of our session and was a perfect angel considering all I put her through! As you can see in one of the above images, she got her revenge! She began tinkling through her mom, Jaimi's hand as I was shooting - I heard a squeal from Jaimi but just kept clicking away. What a priceless moment! Hannah may not like them too much in 20 years, but her family will still get a major kick out of them! lol Her big brother, JD was a blast too and I can't wait to capture some really sweet images of the two of them at our next session. Thank you so much to this wonderful family for allowing me to share in these amazing memories!

Baby Tripp

Tripp's mom, Lynn, was referred to me through another client and friend and has returned the favor many times by passing my name along to others! She is great fun to be around during our sessions and her little man, Tripp, is too cute for words! We had a great time during his 6 month session and I couldn't believe how much fun he seemed to have being in front of the camera! He's such a little ham! I am definitely looking forward to the 9 month and 1 year sessions with this handsome little guy! Thank you, Lynn, for allowing me to play such a special role in this season of your life!

Baby Chelsea

Baby Chelsea's mom, Cherelle, was referred to me through another client and although we had hoped to fit in a maternity session last fall, Chelsea's dad was in the process of being deployed to Iraq so it was a bit crazy for Cherelle. Chelsea is now 3 months old and is absolutely precious!!! I am so grateful to all of my clients (thanks Lynn!) who so willingly and eagerly pass my name along to their friends and family members. It's through those referrals that I meet new and wonderful clients such as Cherrelle and Baby Chelsea. I can't wait for our next session!

David and Emily

I had the honor of shooting David and Emily's wedding last year and as always, I am so excited to be able to follow them through the many happy seasons that have followed. They are expecting their first child in February, a little boy named Dawson and I can't wait to photograph him as a newborn! I look forward to many more fun sessions with this wonderful family!

Baby Baylor's 9 month session

It was a really cold day out at Shakepeare during this session but Baylor was SUCH a good sport as always! She may have been cold but she was still a perfect angel in front of the camera! I am so very blessed to have Baylor and her family as clients and as friends. Thank you Matt and Laura for allowing me to be the one to capture these wonderful moments!

Nadiah

Nadiah is the neice of a dear friend of mine and was my very first paying client when I decided to become a professional photographer. As my first clients, they hold a very special place in my heart and it is always an honor and priviledge to photograph Nadiah in all her splendid cuteness! These are only a few shots from her session - and beleive me, it was almost impossible to choose which ones to feature on the blog! She's beautiful in every shot!

Tori's Creations

My cousin, Tori Finlayson, is a student at SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) and she is focusing her talents at the moment on designing and marketing her own jewelry. I expect to be seeing some amazing and creative designs from her in the future to go along with this current sampling! Her materials are top of the line and these peices were made with genuine alligator skin she gets from Atlanta. We took these pictures of a few of her hand crafted bracelets during a family christmas gathering so it's a very simply done, rough example of product photography but much more could be done in studio with the right equipment and lighting on hand. If you're interested in purchasing any of her items, or in having her design a unique peice just for you or a loved one, please contact me and I will provide you with her contact information! Also, if you are a business owner and would like some quality images of your products, feel free to contact Caryl Lawson Photography! Eye catching product images are a marketing "must have"! Thanks for looking and Happy New Year!
