Catching up...

For those of you who follow my blog....thanks for hanging in there! LOL I've found it difficult to keep it updated as I've gotten busier and since Facebook has become a fabulous marketing tool for me, I always post sneak peeks there after every session and lately, I haven't gotten around to updating the blog! I'm going to try to get better but just in case you follow the blog and haven't seen me on Facebook, please look me up. I update my facebook page on a daily basis so you won't have to wait as long to see what's new! :-)

That being said, I've added several blog entries tonight in an effort to get caught up and I will be adding several more over the next few days. I'm adding them in the order of when the session took place although the blog will not reflect the session date. I've also updated the look and style of the blog so feel free to comment and let me know what you think. I was just a little bored with the old style. It needed a face lift! lol

Thank you all for hanging in there and continuing to read this! I'm hoping to have the time to start putting more of a personal touch on my entries every now and then....maybe share a little with you all about my life and family. So often, I look at websites of other creative professionals and wonder what they're really like in their off time...when they aren't shooting pictures or decorating cakes or planning huge events. I see their work as an expression of their talent, but often wish I could get to know them personally...so I could understand their passion and talent even better and get a glimpse into what life is like for them behind the scenes.

So, coming up soon, lol, I will begin sharing more about myself, for those of you brave enough to continue reading. lol I'll give you a glimpse into who I am at home when I have bananas all over my hands and my twins are screeching because I'm sitting at the computer on the other side of the baby gate! I might even share a normal every day snap shot of our kids that doesn't look like it could be in a magazine...because yes, I take normal pictures of my kids too - just like every other mom! lol

So that's what you have to look forward to in the coming weeks and I thank you all for taking the time to read this blog! Thanks and God bless!!!!

Felicity turns 2!

(The above image is from Felicity's 1st B'day Session!!!!! )

Felicty is the granddaughter of one of my dearest friends, Dawn. We have been friends for many years and it is always my pleasure to photograph her grandchildren! Felicity's party had a Luau theme and all her friends at daycare celebrated with her by sharing cupcakes, fruit, and cheesepuffs and then washing away the crumbs in some awesome backyard water attractions!!! My kids were there and had a blast! Thank you, Dawn, for allowing me to capture these special memories for you and Amber!

Scott-Money Wedding

Leigh and J.W. were referred to me through my photography teacher and mentor, Ryan Bartels. He and Leigh work together at Faulkner University and although he originally thought he was booked the day of their June wedding, he ended up being able to come down to Dothan and assist as a second shooter. It was an amazing experience working with this wonderful couple and shooting alongside a photographer I have so much respect for! Leanna also assisted me with this wedding and captured some amazing images of her own! All around it was a great opportunity and I am truly blessed to have met this fun-loving, laid-back couple. I look forward to more sessions with them in the future! Best wishes to the newlyweds!

Gross Family

This family was referred to me by a dear sweet friend of mine, Dawn. These sisters were an absolute joy to photograph - so dynamic and full of sweetness!!!! A huge thank you to their mom and dad for braving the heat during this session. It was so much fun and we got some amazing images despite the heat!

Voll-Corley Wedding

I was honored when a friend of mine (and fellow photographer) Sherry Corley, asked me to shoot her son, Adam's, wedding. I know she would have loved to have been behind the camera herself, but it's hard to be both the photographer and mother of the groom. lol So, she handed over the honor of capturing the event to me. I was thrilled to do it and enjoyed every moment I spent with this wonderful couple. They have a beautiful future ahead of them and I wish them the very best in this new chapter of their lives!

Elijah's 3 month session

Elijah (a.k.a. Mr. Hair lol) is one of my favorite new clients!!! His newborn session was amazing and of course, he was just as cute for this 3 month session! His 6 month session is already coming up soon and we have some really unique ideas up our sleeves so stay tuned!

Jack

Jack is the son of a friend of mine from high school who now lives in my neighborhood! What a small world! We met out at Pratt Park for his session and he was a ball of energy the whole time! lol I had to be on my toes big time just to catch a shot of him looking at the camera! But he was tons of fun and I hope to have another session with him very soon!

Hall-Lahmer Wedding

I am so glad I had the opportunity to be a part of this wonderful couple's wedding day! Crystal and Danny had dated several years prior to tying the knot and it was obvious that they were completely in love and had a strong foundation already in place on which to begin building their new life together. The wedding took place on the Alabama River front at sunset on May 1st and although the wedding planner had strong winds to contend with, the event was an incredible success! Best wishes to the newlyweds!

Baby Dawson

It's always a pleasure shooting images of this handsome guy! If you follow my blog and site, you probably recognize Baby Dawson. I've had the honor of shooting his parents wedding, maternity, newborn, and now 3 month pictures! They are such a precious family and I am pleased to be able to call them friends as well as clients!

Ryan

Well, all my sessions with little one's are enjoyable and fun but this was one of the easiest ever! Ryan had just turned 1 at the time of this session and was one of the happiest babies I've ever had the pleasure of meeting! He never fussed and seemed to truly enjoy his time in the spotlight!!! Thank you so much to his mom and dad for allowing me to capture him in all his cuteness!!!!

Miles Family

This family was so amazing to work with! I know Charmon and her husband, brian, from Church at Destiny and I was thrilled when they asked to take some fun family pictures of them! We had a great time in downtown Prattville and I look forward to more sessions with them in the future!
