Baby John Patrick

All of my shoots with newborns are special but this one was especially touching. John Patrick (nicknamed JP) was born on 3-14-09 at 24 weeks weighing 1 lb 5 oz. While talking with his parents I learned that he had a 50/50 survival chance at birth and endured several setbacks in the first few weeks of his life, any one of which could have had tragic results. But he refused to give up and this tiny little fighter has beaten the odds and is now home with his family after 4 months in the NICU. He is 4 and 1/2 months old and now weighs 5.5 lbs. His mom and I went to school together in high school and recently saw eachother at our 10 year reunion last fall so this was an incredible honor for me to be chosen to capture timeless memories of her precious little miracle! Shoots like this one are why I love what I do so much! Every baby is a miracle from God and we can so easily take for granted the ease in which many of us have been able to bring new life into this world. John Patrick has reminded me of how precious the gift of life is and also how fragile. Let's all remember to thank God every day for the many blessings He has poured out upon us and take a lesson from John Patrick when it comes to fighting our way through the hard times with unrelenting tenacity. If someone so small can fight so hard and come out on the other side of his struggle virtually unscathed, then surely I can face my trials with a bit more courage and a lot more faith!
Thank you for taking the time to visit. Feel free to leave congratulatory comments to JP's parents (I'll make sure they see them!) God Bless!

Baby Tripp

I'd like to introduce baby Tripp! I had the pleasure of getting to know his mom, Lynn, during a maternity session a few weeks ago and I was so excited about his newborn shoot! He is so handsome and I couldn't get over the head full of hair!!! Inevitably, he bonded with me by peeing on me - something I am very used to by now! lol It's just a part of photographing itty bities and I wouldn't change a thing! He was an angel during the shoot and I look forward to seeing how much he has grown and changed by his 3 month session! I'd like to thank his mom for opening her home to me during the shoot and being so fun to work with! Thanks for looking and feel free to leave comments!

Camryn

Camryn's mom, Miss Emmy, was my son, Cameron's, Kindergarten teacher last year and we knew when the school year ended that we would remain friends for many years to come. So I was very excited when Miss Emmy called me to take pictures of her Camryn for the Miss Fountain City Pageant! She is such a beautiful little girl and SO photogenic! We had a blast in downtown Prattville and even though it was a brief shoot, it was a pleasure getting to see them again. We had fun imagining the possibilities of her Camryn and my Cameron ending up married...Camryn and Cameron. After all, her Camryn thinks my Cameron is handsome! How cute! Thank you, Miss Emmy, for giving me the opportunity to take these wonderful pictures of your daughter! I'll be rooting for Camryn in the pageant! I think she's going to steal the show!!! Best of Luck!

Baby Chase

Baby Chase is finally here! He was born on 7-7-09 at 10:56a.m. weighing 6lbs 10oz and was 18.5 in long. Rhonda and I were planning a maternity session but Chase decided he just didn't want to wait any longer! He is simply perfect in every way and his parents are still soaking in the wonder of their new bundle of joy. His big sister, Lauren, is helping them so much and being very protective of baby brother. Rhonda is glowing with the radiance of new motherhood as you can see from these pictures and it truly blesses my heart to see how much she loves these portraits of her precious bundle! He was such a pelasure during the shoot - I am always amazed by how tolerant newborns are during photo shoots! Chase was especially patient with us and his sweet nature made it possible for us to get some of my most amazing newborn shots ever! Thanks so much to Rhonda and Dwayne for opening their home to me for this shoot and for allowing me the opportunity to get to know Baby Chase and document his first days with them! Thanks for looking and feel free to leave Rhonda and Dwayne congratulatory comments! I'll make sure they see them! Also, please visit my website at http://www.caryllawsonphotography.com/ to see more of my work. Thanks!

Baby Austin

I met Baby Austin one week ago when I arrived to shoot his 3 month portrait session. He captured my heart immediately and I had so much fun with his entire family. His big sister, Taylor, is amazing and obviously loves him very much. His mom and dad graciously opened their beautiful home to me during the shoot and after just one session, I feel as though I've known them forever. I am always so honored to be chosen as the lucky one that gets to help capture these precious memories and I would like to extend a sincere "Thank YOU" to Loretta for giving me that chance with Austin! I can't wait for his 6 month shoot!
