The Wilson Triplets

During the MAMOM Multiples Shoot at Shakespeare, I had the extremely good fortune of running into Harold and Linda Wilson, the parents of 3 lovely bassett hounds...sisters from the same litter! These beloved dogs are so much more than just pets to Harold and Linda...they are truly more like children and are treated as such. With adorable southern names and cute tutu collars decorated just for Halloween, these "girls" are definitely the belles of the ball wherever they go. They have been featured in more than one publication and have a habit of attracting paparazzi in a manner similar to the brightest Hollywood stars - and indeed they are starlets in the eyes of their parents. I am so grateful to Harold and Linda for giving me permission to photograph their lovely girls and hope these images bring a smile to your face as they continue to do for me.

Whatley Twins

As a mother of twins and a member of the Montgomery Area Mothers of Multiples Club, I have a very unique connection with other twin and triplet moms that not only enriches my personal life but also offers me extraordinary opportunities to photograph many families of multiples in the river region. The MAMOM has organized 2 photo shoots now for members and their friends and families (with a portion of the proceeds going to the club) and I have been so blessed by the chance to photograph these unique families. The Whatley twins arrived at the Shakepeare Festival garden and immediately walked right up to me with arms wide open and gave me the sweetest, most sincere hugs - as if they'd known me forever! My heart was theirs from the moment I met them! And as you can see, they only got cuter with every click of my shutter! I am so grateful to their parents for allowing me to capture these very special images of their handsome boys!

Baby Austin's 6 month session

I absolutely adore this little boy! Austin's mom came to me for his 3 month session a few months ago and I have been anxiously awaiting my next opportunity to photograph him ever since! He is so adorable and incredibly handsome! His flaming red hair and crystal blue eyes are amazing and he has such a sweet personality! I am definitely looking forward to watching him grow up and capturing priceless images along the way!

Alyssa

Meet Alyssa...a very young and VERY talented singer/songwriter from my own hometown of Prattville, AL! She comes from a very musically talented family...her mom is the worship leader at our church, Destiny Christian Center, and her dad plays drums and a couple of other instruments as well. Alyssa is preparing to record her first CD of praise and worship songs and needed some images for her album. Remember this post, ladies and gents, because I can guarantee you, this will not be the last time you will be seeing her name! God is going to be using her in BIG ways to impact many lives and I am thrilled to be able to say, "I knew her when...."!

Baby JP

You all may remember Baby JP from a previous blog post...he was born prematurely and I was honored to photograph him after his homecoming at the age of 4 months when he weighed barely 5 lbs. He has grown and developed so much and is truly a tiny little miracle baby! His parents and grandparents absolutely adore him and I am so blessed to be a part of this family's treasured memories!

Sisters

These two beautiful little girls belong to a dear friend of mine from high school and once again, a photo shoot gave me the perfect excuse for reconnecting with someone I'd lost touch with. Their mom, Amanda, is such a sweet hearted person and her daughters certainly share that sweetness. They were a pleasure to photograph and I am so grateful to Amanda for allowing me the priviledge of capturing these precious memories of her girls!

Baby Baylor & Family

This session with Baby Baylor and her family was incredibly fun! I always enjoy my sessions with the Cobb family and we are fortunate to count them among our friends as well as clients. Baylor is 6 months old now and the family wanted to get some group shots along with her standard baby plan session so we met at Rocky Mount Bed and Breakfast in Prattville for the shoot. Sharon, Baylor's Great Aunt, owns the B&B and not only was it perfect for our session, but it is also a popular wedding and special events venue. We captured many elegant and timeless images during the session and as always, had a wonderful time!
The Cobbs were among my first clients and I am so grateful for their continued support and encouragement. I have tested new techniques and equipment on them many times and always with fabulous results. They have willingly been my "guinea pigs" time after time and have passed my name along to several other clients who are now returning customers as well. There are images throughout my portfolio of these wonderful friends and I am looking forward to documenting many more years of happy memories for them!
Thanks so much for taking the time to visit my blog! A more comprehensive sampling of my work can be seen at http://www.caryllawsonphotography.com/.

Courtney's Maternity and Baby Connor

I've known Courtney for several years and it's always exciting to capture memories for people I am already friends with. Pregnancy certainly agreed with her and she had a glow that was obvious in her maternity portraits. When she brought Connor to me for his newborn session, I was immediately enamored. What a beautiful baby boy! She had three specific poses she knew she "couldn't live without", so we focused mainly on those and I was amazed by how sweet spirited and tolerant he was of my poking and prodding. He allowed us to get these beautiful shots and I am so grateful to Courtney for giving me the opportunity to help her document this very special time in her life. Feel free to leave congratulatory comments for the new mommy! I'll make sure she sees them!

Well, I can't believe it but my twin girls have just turned ONE! Time flies by so quickly and I am so proud of their acheivements but also saddened by how quickly they are growing up. We don't plan to have any more children (unless God decides otherwise) so I'm planning my last First Birthday Party and celebrating the first year milestones for the final time. Even though my cup has literally runneth over this past year and there have been times when I wondered if I would survive, it's easy to forget all those moments of stress induced psychosis when faced with the finality of a first birthday. My little angels are growing up! It seems just yesterday my husband and I were heading to the hospital for a long a day of labor which ended in the miraculous arrival of our twin girls, Brooklyn Michelle and Skylar Marie. Brooklyn was born at 7:08pm weighing 6lbs 1oz and Skylar followed 8 minutes later at 7:16pm weighing 6lbs 10oz. Well, that was just yesterday so I guess tomorrow we'll be dropping them off at a college dorm - hopefully one very close to home but there's no way to tell these days. And as I'm writing this and choking back the tears that are threatening to well up in the back of my throat...I am reminded of why I do what I do. This is why I am always seen at every gathering with a camera surgically attached to my hand. This is why my kids know the sound of a shutter clicking as well as they know the sound of Cheerios being poured onto their high chair trays. This is why every computer hard drive in my house is overflowing with images of my children and yours. I take pictures...I capture memories that might be lost forever if not frozen in time by the lens of my camera. I do this for my family because I understand the importance of not letting these moments pass by unoticed - uncaptured. I do it for you for the same reason. Thank you for allowing me to share such a special part of myself with you - my clients and my friends. It's in moments like these that I truly know, I am where I'm meant to be. I am doing something important and valuable - not only for my family but for many many others. I am so grateful that God has given me this gift and allowed me to go on this journey. I am so blessed!
